A large number of automatic weather stations has been implemented in the frame of the BIOTA AFRICA project by the Namibian National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) and the Group "Biodiversity, Evolution and Ecology" (BEE) of the University of Hamburg. The website offers hourly updates of data and graphs of a large number of weather parameters.

DescriptionThe data file lists the current known species of ants from the Kakamega Forest. The ant fauna comprises ca. 300 species. This species richness is the second highest reported from the Afrotropical zoogeographical region. The observed ant fauna can be divided into a larger group of forest habitat species and a smaller group of open habitat specialists.
