Weather data
A large number of automatic weather stations has been implemented in the frame of the BIOTA AFRICA project by the Namibian National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) and the Group "Biodiversity, Evolution and Ecology" (BEE) of the University of Hamburg. The website offers hourly updates of data and graphs of a large number of weather parameters.

Project description

This WP aims to enhance conservation education of local communities and outreach to Kenyan counterparts. The objectives are 1) to establish a community-based bird monitoring program; 2) to provide education and awareness for conservation to the local community; 3) to produce information material in terms of brochures, posters and tapes; 4) to enhance technical equipment and expertise at the National Museums of Kenya; 5) to increase scientific capacity building through tropical ecology courses and teaching of a Master's and PhD student.
